A tentative booking will be held for 7 days only, and will automatically lapse unless confirmed.
Confirmation & Cancellation of Bookings
The deposit required is $2000.00 payable when the booking is confirmed and the signed contract returned. Should the wedding be cancelled at a later date the deposit and any future subsequent scheduled payments are non refundable.
This means no money will be given back in the unlikely event you need to cancel your date – for any reason. We also would like to make it clear that we will not refund money even if the date is re-sold. If for any reason this is not acceptable to you please do not proceed with your booking as we do not wish to disappoint should plans not proceed as you would like. We in good faith will retain your selected date turning away any possible contacts once your booking is confirmed.
In the event of a cancellation all monies paid is retained by Maleny Manor
Venue and Grounds Hire
We require a venue and cleaning hire fee of $600 for each function, unless included in your package.
Pavilion hire and cleaning $200 if you use this facility, unless included in your package.
We seat 50 – 120 persons for a formal sit down menu. We can cater for 150 guests in our cocktail menu styles. All minimum numbers are listed at the bottom of each package list.
The package structure offers you a bundled price including extras. Should you start making changes you then start to unfortunately loose on these extras.
Minimum Requirements Apply
Minimum number of guests required for all Saturdays is 80 adult guests.
Minimum number of guests for Fridays and Sundays in spring is 80 adults.
For Easter Saturday and all Public Holidays and long weekends our minimum is 80 adults plus a surcharge.
Minimum numbers for Sundays and Fridays in summer, autumn and winter is 60 adult guests.

Minimum’s on booked number
Should your original booked numbers reduce below your package minimum’s your minimum charge will be based on the minimum requirements listed on your chosen package i.e. you conBirm a booking for 100, pay your deposit and agree to the minimum numbers required on the package, which may be say 80. Then two weeks from function date, when Binal numbers are required, you tell us only 60 can attend. If this happens then you will be charged for the 80 minimum as listed on your package and signed off on when submitting your signed contract.
We suggest the use of a mini bus to safely transport your guests. We recommend Maleny Mini buses or Mystic Mountain Tours.

Responsible service of alcohol
Responsible service of alcohol rules apply and Maleny Manor requests that the hosts of the function assist with any infringement that incurs or finds alternate transport and removal of any guest not within the guidelines of responsible alcohol service or general moral behaviour.
Should any situation escalate the security bond below will apply and removal of persons and or the closing of the event will unfortunately occur.
You will be charged a $1000 Security Exit Bond to ensure Manor finish times and venue hire times are adhered to. You as the hosts are required to ensure that all guests depart the venue in an orderly manner and that there will be no occasions arising during or exiting the venue where we feel we need security backup.
You are also required to ensure that all guests leave the venue at 11.30pm/ or set finish time and that they have safe transport arrangements in place. In-house guests are not to encourage non-in-house guests to stay on past venue closing times. This contravenes our liquor licensing laws and will not be tolerated as it would have a damaging effect on our business. We have also witnessed it have disastrous repercussions to what should be a most wonderful day for all.
Any damages will incur a repair charge over and above the security fee.
This bond will be returned in full with a stress free finish to a happy event on final checkout.
To keep your function on track we require the following monies and information from you.
- Initial Deposit - $2000
- 3 Months Before - $2000 Instalment
- 6 Months Before - $2000 Instalment
- 8 Weeks before - remainder of food and beverage payment. Final details lodged excluding final numbers on final table plan.
- 14 Days before - Final numbers lodged and final table plan received, final details confirmed.
- On the Day - Bar Tab and Security Deposit.
Hair and Makeup Facilities
You can check in at 11.00am and can use either our loft or air-conditioned suite for your hair and makeup requirements so you can simply walk down stairs to your beautiful ceremony when you are ready. The only package this service it not available for is the Sunday gold short stay package where you simply arrive on site for your ceremony. Or if you opt to have no accommodation in Some Friday and Sunday arrangements by special arrangement then you forfeit this and any free room option that may be listed in your package.
It is a condition that all 6 rooms be booked if you are having your wedding with us. All rooms have their own ensuite and the tariff includes a continental breakfast of cereals, fruit and yoghurt, Danish pastries and Toast, this is for Inhouse Guests Only. Individual room Cost $250.00.
For children under 12 we offer a meal of fish, chips and nuggets with dipping sauce followed by a bowl of ice cream and chocolate topping. $30 per child. Over 12′s half price/half size adult’s meal served with chips.
As we are not a Restaurant and not trading everyday we are unable to offer food tastings. We are very happy however to take you through our kitchens to give you an impression of our state of the art facilities and operation.
Vegetarian Meals and Special Diets
We are very happy to prepare specials meals for people requiring something different to what’s being offered to other wedding guests. We ask for notification of these dietary requirements at the scheduled 14 Day out lodging of final numbers and payment of final food costs.
We offer a $30 meal served with a bread roll for any persons helping out on your day like DJ’s, Videographers, Photographers etc. Please advise if these are required when stating final numbers.
Bar and Beverages
No beverages are to be brought into Maleny Manor grounds or premises. The event will be conducted, in all respects, in an orderly fashion in accordance with Maleny Manors conditions of licence. RSA laws apply and will be honoured.
Beverage prices are not fixed until 1 month prior to your function date.
Cash bar available during or after package / tab duration. Bar will close 15 minutes before your function finish time.
Service time and venue hire duration is 8 hours – final finish at 11.30pm or 8 hours from Ceremony starting time. For example 3.30-11.30; 3.00-11.00; 2.00-10.00; 1.00-9.00.
Should you start later than 3.30pm finish time remains at 11.30pm. If you have a lunchtime wedding the venue will close at 5.00pm
Damages and Banned Products
Guest organisers of the function agree to be liable for any loss or damage to Maleny Manor equipment or property during an event as an action of invitees/guests of the organiser.Maleny Manor does not allow anything fixed or attached onto the property itself.
Maleny Manor will take the utmost care, but no responsibility will be taken for any loss or damage to merchandise, decorations, cakes or other personal property prior to, during or after weddings. NO metal cut sprinkles, glitter or confetti allowed.
Maleny Manor is a NON SMOKING venue. Please advise your MC of these conditions.Queensland State Smoking laws require that your guests are verbally told and are expected to be in a smoking zone 4m from dining room doorways.
We will endeavour to honour our menu commitment to you, but may have to make a last minute decision on products in certain situations. We would imagine that we will always be able to supply the base meal product but may run into some problems with seasonal and speciality products like asparagus, strawberries etc.
We will be sure to let you know personally should we need to discuss any large menu changes as far in advance as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you.
To enhance your day you can take advantage of our multimedia equipment. We offer 106cm plasma linked to our computer and PA system. Coupled with our lectern for your speeches, which has a power outlet for laptop, a small reading lamp so you are truly ready to give the speech of your life.
You may want to take advantage of these new facilities by:
- showing a slide show of your lives to date;
- show slideshows of people you want to remember;
- allow us to take photos with our digital camera and upload them to a slideshow (immediately) and then burn a disc of those photos before you leave. Instant memories! And a real talking point through dinner to see photos of everyone and your ceremony.

NOTE we use iMacs and all Video and Slideshow photo presentation must be in a suitable format to play.

The organiser will be responsible to ensure the orderly behaviour of guests. Maleny Manor reserves the right to remove those persons who in its opinion are conducting themselves in a manner which is causing a disturbance or nuisance.
Confetti, petals and bubbles
Confetti is banned. Petals and bubbles are the exception and are allowed on the lawn areas only. No petals to be thrown in the pavilion.
Guest Place Cards
- In most of the packages this will be all you have to physically add to the room yourself or with your team of helpers. This is the only area we ask for your personal assistance and will ensure you have everything exactly as you need it to be.
Mondo Floral Designs represents Maleny Manor for the package flowers. Terrianne and her team at Mondo are leaders in their field providing a total exclusive wedding service for all of your floral design needs for your day.
